How to Play
PLO is similar to Hold'em, but with a major twist: each player is dealt four private cards instead of two. Five community cards are still dealt.
Key Rules
- Hand Ranking: You must use exactly two of your four private cards and exactly three of the five community cards to make your best five-card hand.
- Betting: The maximum amount you can bet at any time is the total size of the pot.
- Four-Card Hands: The game's complexity comes from having four cards, which gives you more combinations and a wider range of possible hands.
Pro Strategy Tip
PLO is a "nuts" game. With so many possible combinations, players are often aiming for the very best hand (the nuts). Be careful about betting too much with a hand that isn't the current nuts.
